Good TV with Some Overlookable Issues4

This is the first TV I ever bought, and is a great buy. We hope to read some professional journals, before I bought, but as Amazon coupon offer $ 300 limited time and my points 6x (basically a 6% cash back) on my Amazon card expires at the end of the month, I had to take the opportunity now. I think I made the right choice. Until I have this TV, I am using a Dell 24 “2405FPW LCD (actually a screen from Samsung, which becomes even more positive feedback than we are cheaper 24″ Dell LCD monitor).

I do not want / need to repeat the most positive comments other guests have said, so I will talk about topics not well covered.

240 Hz Auto Motion Plus: The default is “standard”. I do not have regular TV, so I connected my PS3 and I came on my Iron Man Blu-Ray. I immediately noticed the high-quality resolution of my HDTV, but after a while, I realize how the film was a soap opera aspect and how some things just do not seem right. The lighting was a bit more sterile and ‘dramatic light and when there was a scene where the camera moved, I felt like I was watching a 4:3 PAN & Scan video in place a modern film big screen. After checking the settings of the television (not a paper manual was a little ‘annoying, but a little’ paper was saved as a PDF version is about 290 pages because of the multi-lingual version), I can account that is 240Hz AMP, which was making my experience more like TV movies. I tried all the different defaults AMP (eg, Off, Clear, standard, smooth, Demo, which shows AMP AMP attached at the same time), I learned that I like “clear” setting, which is setting the minimum 240Hz, most of them. The lighting and it really seems what I remember from the theatrical scenes and still appear smooth and clear. AMP not only gives the appearance of several frames per second, but clearly even more. You will notice a big difference when you take the time to see the same scene over and over again with different settings. I think that will work better, perhaps with television shows that are fast moving scenes and bright lights of sports programs.

Computer Files: This feature is so cool. Video files that were originally only for PC can now be seen on TV without any additional hardware for me. I believe that television can play different versions of MPEG, and DivX only my PS3 can (it is said that the Samsung manual, but I do a side-by-side comparison). Can I take an AVI file from my computer, copy it into a Compact Flash Drive USB, then connect it to my HDTV and watch the full 46 “glory. The remote has a capacity to convey the simple and fast rewind (more holding down buttons, longer moves forward and backward, respectively) and debugging is not the best jump relay, but it’s bearable.

Ethernet connection: my FiOS modem / router is in my room and my HDTV is in the living room. We could not test, but since the wireless module for Samsung TV is $ 80, I think I’m going to move my router. I wonder if there’s a cheaper solution, or if Sony USB WiFi module is property.

Remote control: long is a controller that is a bit ‘awkward to use without slipping his hand to get some buttons and has a wing unconventional fund operator who is there to balance the weight. Feels fragile also because it looks shiny and lightweight. More bad news is that the buttons need me to push it down with a different angle or more strength. I hope that once I use the controller a bit ‘more, the buttons will be more sensitive. At this point, some of the buttons to take me two or three times before recording, because I am not apparently do well.

Service delivery: We usually get a call about setting up my delivery date and time. They gave me a delivery window of 4 hours and 2 guys came toward the end of the first hour, so there’s been a long wait. There was something in the form I signed on a blue screen test, but not proof for me (maybe it only works with TV reception?) And I saw when skimmed through the manual of each. Basically, it was the physical one, on, and tried some menu options. Not a very scientific test, but I think that they have completed their tasks. Do not stick around to get to be evacuated. I have the ball to one, though.

Ultra Clear Panel: Do not know why Samsung.com website says that it is a PCN, when obviously not. Reflection is strong enough and have good natural light in my living room windows, so that the reflection can be annoying. However, the viewing angle good practice so I just sat in a corner of the screen (probably 20 degrees) and the reflection of my window disappears. I do not see any drop in the contrast of color or quality, so it’s not that big of a deal. Also, if you compare this to some of the old CRT reflection, it seems very similar. The big difference is that he can not seem to be many problems of reflection b / c is just a larger screen of the CRT.

In general, I am happy with my HDTV. I was very tempted to buy the 52 “version, but the first 30% to 46″ (actually 52 “costs more than 21% with coupon most recent period of time), I will save money for when I get a bigger apartment , where 60 + “screens are in the area of best value.

20090731 UPDATE: It ‘been a bit’ more than two months and the distance is still not very receptive. I do not log more hours in the distance, but do not remember having this problem with any of the distant past. Fortunately, it’s only real downside to this TV. Oh, since I wrote the previous review, towards the end of May, I plugged my old computer to it via VGA and RCA TV mini-plug. It ‘nice to be able to watch the video on my PC computer, but that’s all I recommend it for. I had to change the Windows XP interface to a predominantly black background with green text, look, so that it would strain my eyes. It also does not work with 240Hz AMP VGA connection, not a great loss, since very few computers and video Internet streaming video content is higher at 720p (most of them are 480p and not). One last thing is that I played around with custom settings AMP. I have 10 to reduce blur and 3 to reduce vibration often. Blur setting does not seem to affect my viewing experience, then use the max setting. Reduce vibration is very visible to me on 4 or more B / C frame rate of contrast and lighting brighter and more sterile. TV on the mysterious, like 24 (on DVD) and films like Dark City (DVDs), I must stop or reduce the vibration on that set at least to be imperceptible.

Picture Quality and Dynamic Contrast are the next best thing to 3D5

Not perfect, but it is the closest thing I’ve seen so far. It deserves 4 1 / 2 stars instead of 5 because of lack of comfort functions missing pair distance and the number is not limited HDMI inputs. The image quality, lightweight, low power consumption, and the cabinet is terribly thin. The remote requires several hours to really bond
Although you can start watching TV and movies fast enough, not knowing how to make different settings by selecting the input source.

Pro

* Incredible Dynamic Contrast. I think that other people are in the room with me. Also close to a few inches away is sharp, clear and realistic.

The lightweight at only about 65 pounds or so, about 1 / 3 of the fact that an old 32 “TV.

* VGA input for PC, 4 HDMI, audio out, and a few other items.

* 240Hz demo feature allows you to display 240Hz, first and second regular 60Hz. There are also several ways to select 240Hz. Great feature to play with looking at the latest Bond film.

* Response time of 2 ms (Sounds good to me)

Cons:

* Only one RCA input which is shared with a component output (you can use a component input jack 3 ~ or only one of them for your website video, then use the left and right audio). Bottom line is that only a non-HDMI video input (not counting PC VGA input).

* PIP only accessible from the Tools menu, instead of a single button on the remote. Swap the PIP image to the main image you must select the input source instead of a single button swap. Able to display only images PIP Cable HDMI devices and not others.

* Touch of Color is only a light blue at the bottom, instead of all around the edges, as expected.

This is the account of revision. I’m sure that someone enters into details as soon as possible and we are eager to take another hearing in this new series of LEDs. I am very happy with the purchase, especially at 10% or more below the list price.

Very good but not perfect4
The clarity and color are amazing. E ‘literally everything that looks aspect was shot with a camera capable of consumers, rather than pro grade camera. This TV makes it seem like things are going in your room first very personal. You see every hair, every wrinkle, every mole and blemish on the face. Must see to believe. One way to describe it is that everything looks “different” than what may have been used to seeing. I recommend you see this TV in a brick-n-mortar store to see what I mean.

Number of adjustment menu is also above and beyond what each of us committed to making these televisions are always going to need. For those who want to optimize, here is your opportunity.

However, this TV is perfect.

1. Corners show where vignetting reverse the very dark scenes, you can see the lighting design significantly corner of the screen. It seems that the design of a flash of light from a corner. Corner itself is very dark, but very little light is diffused in a pattern of fans in every corner of the center of the screen. This is only visible in very dark scenes where the main display is black. You can not see this as normal.

2. Stand still feels sturdy. If you push on the top of the bezel, the screen will sway back and forth … I’m afraid the first time I did when I hit the TV screen while laying on my entertainment stand. Looking at the point of attack, Samsung has gone super cheap, fixing the present technique does not belong on a TV in this price range. We have (literally), a shoe-lace attached to a triangular piece of plastic that connects to your TV. The other end is presumed to be annexed, either on the wall or stand. This is truly a place for a TV of this size and I think that is my biggest disappointment with this TV.

As advances in LED Display Technology, I’m sure this TV will be exceeded by the performance of future models from Samsung or competing brands. However, for now, this is a very good HD screen, with some flaws.

Satisfied with purchase and look forward to many years of service.

Great for home theater mini5
I was the owner of an HDTV for six years and during this time, I saw about two dozen friends to their home theater configurations HDTV. I just upgraded to LN52B750 Samsung and I could not be happier. For reference, I’m upgrading to a Samsung DLP and I own another Samsung LCD HDTV.

There are a lot that is misunderstood about this TV, so rather than the usual pros and cons, I would like to share how to get from this set is worth viewing.

First, if you’re reading this, you’re already an owner or an LCD or read about them – that I have read about this race in November, and if you are like me wondering what it is.

Vortices of color – you have not read, but if you watched TV on an LCD set in the past, especially with standard definition (SD), the stations, you have seen. Environment indicates that the color photo compressed jpg file. My previous LCD HDTV (8ms response time), took over – this simply is not. (I had trouble watching the compression artifacts in a 1930 film on TCM this TV – but that movie was so messed up, can not blame only the TV.)

Contrast – you’ve read so far that all the LCD manufacturers are on it. If you are confused and remember the days of audio, which works like this: You have a 35 watt amp RMS per channel (8 ohms). Some might say a lie and 70 watt amp. Then, there is something more and call it a 140 watt amp (as of about 4 ohm speakers?). Then, there is something more and instead refer to the peak of RMS – and suddenly a 35 watt amp is legally lie about the 200 watt amplifiers. Now – I do not know the details of lies enforcement notice, but I think what I read – that exist in this area. This set is worth a 150,000:1 contrast – with each segment of the legal situated possible – the contrast on this set is amazing. I still can not believe it’s an LCD. It’s just that good in terms of contrast. A plasma-owning friend has insisted for half an ‘now that I’m wrong, and had achieved a top line of plasma.

Blur / response / lag – LCDs are known for this weakness. This is not TV. Learn more.

The quality of SD programs – there’s some controversy. Not a problem on this TV. Learn more.

AMP 240 Hz – this is the most misunderstood features I read about this TV. Nothing I read in a possible review prepared me for what to expect. Buying TV, I was partly for this function, noting that, depending on who you believe, you disable this feature, Up for movies, but sports, sports, but not the movies.

And ‘one of these on / off things. E ‘adjustable. Here are my suggestions based on my simple type:

1. DirecTV.

I use an HDMI cable in Dayton, also bought the cable from Amazon (surprisingly good – EUR) from my DirecTV HR20. HR20 we set up to display all resolutions natively. LN52B750 switches resolution so quickly that it is not a problem. Unlike previous sets I owned, HDMI input on your TV accepts 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p – HDMI HR20 all. Looking for DirecTV, is well known to television and set the HR20 to the native resolution TV and turn off output from the HR20 natively. That’s because the HR20 is presumably better at 3:2 pulldown processing compared to the top of the line of chipsets / firmware used only a few years ago, since the drop is between the stages of converting the satellite signal frame television – and My experience with this.

However, I offer this simple advice – the goal of making HR20 native, all resolutions, and set 240Hz B750 transformation: Blur = 5, vibration = 3 – and you’ll be very satisfied with the results of all the recorded program. My Boston Legal replays did not look so good and seem on some of the poorest signal (highly compressed), the stations of my line. So, with this setting, SD, and satellite 720p and 1080i look great – not fake at all. (And all you have to do to see the controversy about this feature is to “Turn It On, his adaptation without customization – and wait for your eyes and stomach turn.)

I played baseball as a kid – loved it. However, remember what looks like a ball in the air. When you are at right angles, you see a blur and Stobi of clear, red eyes. With Blur = 5, the vibration control = 3, we finally saw just watching the ball drop curve (720p source). Higher or lower, the ball seems wrong – Oh, yes, very interesting – but wrong.

So I recommend this series for producing 240 Hz – providing you are willing to change these parameters slowly and study a lot of material to ask what is right. I maintain that if you owned a DirecTV HR20, I have just given the key to viewing SD and HD really great.

And do not worry about these children are missed by blurring the films he wanted there – Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire seemed really great about it.

BTW – Resolution step on this series is easy – has little or no experience additional delay when changing resolution. (Not really my older HDTV.)

2. HTPC (Home Theater PC)

I use a Mac Mini. I know people hate them, you pay too much for Mac, blah, blah, blah. Mac mini factorul de forma este corect pentru a HTPC. You can find duplicates of this form factor – and features directly comparable – the Windows world ** ** exactly the same price as a Mac Mini – So ‘Nuff said on price.

But – as far as I know, only Apple has built in DVD player plays movies at 24 frames per second. Last I checked (and this may have changed by now), all other programs (Win) did not play TV rates: 60 frames per second, progressive scan, etc.

Now – I do not have to explain everything to praise Mac – this is all on Blu-Ray vs. DVD.

The processing technology is covered by the 240 Hz vibration is all about reconciliation Blu-Ray at 24 fps (read: the Royal Theater), FPS vs. 30/60 (read: television signals).

I do not own a Blu-Ray – my gut, after all these years, it still tells me to wait for the right features and price.

But I use a Mac Mini for my HTPC and if you do – or are considering one – here is my recommendation (based on Leopard 10.5.7): Set the DVD player for high quality deinterlacing, Mac to set preferences display 1920×1080 at 24 Hz (progressive is the default), and feed in LN52B750 with options for 240 Hz, set the blur = 5 or 6, vibration = 6 or 7 – and will drop your jaw. If you have a copy of the Moulin Rouge – use as a reference for the settings. I particularly recommend to note that you actually see the dust on the floor the kitten Roxanne Tango chapter (among others) and also suggest that you really love the depth and detail of stars, lace and glitter in Your Song.

With these settings, not just get a great HTPC, but you get perhaps the best standard DVD player you’ve ever owned. Before LN52B750 was very good – now it is unbelievable. Ghost Dog and the Moulin Rouge on DVD is now in the foreground is completely three-dimensional (not too fakey – in fact, search 3-D) – I do not know if this type of image that was possible from a DVD.

I think my setup program shows how well this TV work with a 1080p/24 source FPS – I can only imagine that the Blu-ray has a better appearance.

3. Sound

People complain about the sound quality of LN52B750. I do not know. I used a sound TV for 8 years. I do not want to sound snobbish, but really – you are spending a lot of TV and input sources, for listening to TV speakers?

I do not go for surround sound. I prefer the pure-fidelity stereo sound bigger. To each his own, but if you’re like me, that’s the secret to: Route audio from optical LN52B750 Mac mini, not DirecTV’s optical port. This routing is surprisingly good. Free software use Rogue Amoeba’s LINEIN, set all the defaults except the output buffers – uses a buffer size of 2048 – converted optical copper tube stereo and your home stereo. This is the best TV-to-stereo sound I got in 8 years.

I’m using large electrostatic panels, led by a 400 Watt (peak) / channel amp and a 2 kW servo-controlled subwoofer. You hear the sound around the room and the depth and spatial qualities are very good. We recommend that more money in a better stereo wiring and less space than the surround sound, but that’s just me. To each his own,.

4. Various settings

In addition, some opaque words, adjust the screen and blind.

Clare – I have one. Yes – I see a reflection on the screen at different times of day. The picture quality is so deep – is the contrast – since I’ve seen, even blindness, if it’s there. And the screen is glossy or matte. You feel bright, but low-reflection, as it is difficult, but clear and sharp as a gloss. Are telling the truth about this improvement.

Opacity – To set burns for a couple of days before the exam. This is a great tip for anything that big LCD. Opacity – I have one.

Settings: Go Very. Slow. I recommend not to touch anything for 24 hours of viewing. So far, I turned the backlight and the contrast and brightness turned up. I’m not going to suggest the numbers here though – there are too many factors, such as the room will dictate what is right. I say that out of the box, the contrast is too high, as the backlight (but not brightness) – so, as I said, regular. Each. Parameter. Slow. You’ll be happy.

5:26:09: Three things – absolutely * stop * Dynamic Contrast Enhancement and Edge! In addition, Digital Noise Reduction (NR) default Auto – certainly on DVD, which causes an electric vehicle you look at things like paper, better in the medium or high.

Color – I read a review that Auto favored over Native – I agree.

Movie mode – The default Auto2 (optimized for scrolling text). Use Auto1 (video optimized) – text looks very good.

5. Internet

This is not a characteristic value. I thought it would be – but it is not. If you use a Mac Mini and get the wireless network, go to System Preferences-> Network-> Ethernet, DHCP and IP set manually – to set the IP 192.168.2.1 – then go to the shared Ethernet connection and shares Airport. 100/1000BaseT perform a type of Ethernet cable (looks like a large phone connector) on your Mac to your TV. Internet TV, as follows: IP = 192.168.2.2, mask = 255.255.255.0 and Gateway 192.168.2.1 and DNS for both – and you’re ready.

Note – this does not support DLNA functionality to the TV – and if you have an HTPC, especially a Mac, you do not want anyway. Music files will encrypt all the support function – stick with your music in its native format, and simply switch to Mac Front Row to listen to your music. You get better quality and you’ve already made the decision to import the music – and I believe that the same applies if you are a Vista / Media Home users and this is your HTPC. (Update – the software configuration functions [...], has DLNA support of Macs on TV – if you need that kind of thing.)

But – and this is a big but – if you simply connect your Mac or HTPC to share its Internet connection. You already receive updates of the operating system via the network, if you prefer OS X or Windows. Well, guess what? This TV is at its heart, a lot of computer technology. Out of the box, my firmware was characterized LN52B750 from 3/30/2009 – and last week (May 2009), Samsung has already had a firmware update for this set. What has been updated by Samsung? I do not know and do not care. I left my Windows XP and Mac OS X is updated all the time. These guys want to fix things for free, do not argue – I take the money.

Get it connected to the Internet and will never have to sweat an update or remember how to transfer your TV via a USB stick. For things up to U.S. $ 2k, I’m sweating. BTW, please note that at this moment, the television seems to support automatic updates – so it must still go to that menu option. Not bad. (10-13-2009 update: firmware updates are now automatic if the hanging on the network.)

Have gone this far, I have tried Yahoo widgets. This is a feature by far underestimated. Are set up now to get the minutes of 5-day forecast here, again, when the mother is, and if my business locations are different. He put the question must be read in its Shadowbox when viewing widgets. This is insanely faster and easier than using my Mac Dashboard widgets or DirecTV for the same thing – and I never lost my sight and I have a mouse.

Oh – I also used video to Yahoo News and get the latest video in the network of Hubble repairs during a long commercial break. Security was low-res. But I did it with my remote, and not a mouse, and has not lost track of time to look at things on the web Hubble during a commercial break.

So – I recommend the option of internet TV for that too.

6. Heat

September LCD warming, are. I burned my first LCD HDTV OnTime long day. I left the TV on for 50 hours straight. E ’summer (here in the desert) and I have my swamp cooler – but the TV screen is still warm to the touch.

7. Reviewers legitimate commercial

Who publishes X-model we tested this series, but this is the same – do not read them, I think not. Quality control for the production of LCDs increases exponentially set, almost like you go up in size. Comments only real down to trust you not to forget – the next over, the model did not last year.

8. LCD response time

This set is a value of 2 ms. I heard that is a lie in a review of 120 Hz set – The secretary, even if producers would not reference. Reviewer who said it had taken only 8 ms panels, and rating them a 4 ms when they are processing 120 Hz – and so, while my TV was in transit, and rightly so, I asked for 2 ms, which is simply the mathematics that applied to a screen 8 ms at 240 Hz (4 times faster at 60 Hz, four times faster than 8 ms).

I have no idea of ground. All I can say for certain is that this fact is clear and has no motion artifacts (and wheel), I saw my other 8ms LCD HDTV. I hope this helps some, with this confusion.

9. Actual Size

Makes me so, but it does: you can see my Mac via an HDMI connection, DVI-I and a corresponding adjustment of screen size. No more lost pixels, there is no need for more SwitchResX or DisplayConfigX. No such option for the HDMI input DirecTV. I do not know why.

But know this: For years, manufacturers of HDTV has been hiding a small margin of their input sources – causing no end of grief for the owners of HTPC. This set close to all these evils.

(**** UPDATE, May 23 – Fit the screen works with any source – DirecTV or HTPC. Passa 480th entry and Fit screen disappears. Also – when it comes to showing typical HistoryHD If only the image stretched horizontally letter that all the Pillsbury Doughboy, you can resolve it quickly with the passage of the TV to 4:3. You can get an HD in the mail – not as good as full-screen HD but better than watching Pillsbury Doughboy.)

10. Correct.

We are told that the only way to do this is with a technology of TV, and pay for it professionally. Believe. This TV is not less than 9 settings for red, green and blue – adds brightness, gamma, etc. and are more than a dozen adjustments there.

Think about it: 12 faces of the cube Rubicam – now you have no idea.

So I am just adjusting the brightness / backlight / contrast me. All independent reviewers say rocks as Samsung brand out of the box for the accuracy of color. Was not true for my older Samsung – is certain is that most of them. The color is just great.

13. Remote

I had things just remote to my Mac and my DirecTV remote. Now I have to go third of the distance, once again, to use some features of this cooler TV. Like most people use a surround sound stereo, and I use, it seems that most people integrate remote instead of using more.

OK – I am a Ludd or something like that. We use multiple remotes. (This is for music, sound, photographs, and DVD control this for DirecTV, and now this one to start source inputs and check out my Yahoo widgets.) My wife and I find it very easy. So if you’re like us, in this regard:

This is a great distance. Feels at ease in his hands as if they believe in backlight, the buttons are large enough to read. What can I say more?

14. Viewing distance

I look at my 12.5 meters from the screen. This is well within reason of this size TV. If you look at a showroom, be prepared to step on what will be your viewing distance. I often go through the shops and see people judging sites HDTV, being 8 feet in front of one, 12 feet in front of another. No longer do so. I can not overstate the importance of judging the remote control in accordance with personal use.

15. Pilot Delivery

I LN52B750 my Amazon delivery through pilot projects planned. These guys were great. Others have had problems, many do not. Pilot appears to involve local youngsters to provide them with kid gloves. My kids have been great local – ‘Nuff said.

16. Edit 6/13/2009 – If you record TV on Samsung’s site, which give a further period of 3 months warranty.

Well – that’s it. Thanks for reading. I hope I helped.

Almost perfect4
Got this from Amazon at a good price, although I’m sure that will bring you a little ‘more as the year goes on.
This TV is spectacular! Absolutely amazing, jaw drop picture. I can not say enough about it. Excellent blacks, infinitely adjustable to suit your needs.
When I switched I had the “Office” Come and I swear that my mouth stayed open for several minutes as it seemed that Michael was in the same room with me! A lot of inputs and the characteristics of this series, Internet connectivity, DLNA network, subject ELBOW great, which is gray instead of red on the last 750 years. Very polished bezel, Crystal Stand neck pins. The screen is glossy reflections are not a problem for me, I tend to look in a dark room, but even with the curtains open, I see me! AMP seems to work best in this series, as I also have a Nokia 4071, which has a small problem with AMP, which has been well documented in AVSForums again.

Like anything else, is not perfect, hence the 4 stars instead of 5.
The sound is bad. I mean, you want to link this up to a good stereo system, or at least a pair of powered computer speakers or a set state.
This TV that attract dust or unknown business.Either that my house is very dirty. Front panel controls (which is rarely used anyway) is hard to say where they are (bottom right). Yahoo widgets, which are a bit ‘cold, when you see first are eh, not a problem. Perhaps more available I would be more excited.
There is no printed manual is a USB drive, called e-manual, and is not Spanish! There is a uniform illumination when the screen is dark (no signal), not sure if this is a problem for me yet no one seems to affect the quality of image, but something to watch.

TV is a 5 star, but the sound is down 1. All other issues are not a big problem.
Amazon delivery was good, not issues.Overall are extremely satisfied!
Now, for a good Blu-ray!

Great LCD TV!5
I just received my LN52B750 this week and I must say that it is simply a beautiful demonstration of high definition experience. For the price, this LCD is IMO a great value – and not just because I bought it, I bought it around for about 1.5 months and could not find a better LCD with the characteristics of this series offers.
A friend of past years, LN52A750 and I can honestly say the differences and updates the model “B” – like the increased contrast ratio, 240Hz refresh rate and USB 2.0 improve functionality.
If you are looking for a decent price LCD (with characteristics of higher order), is the TV for you!

Pro
-The video quality is amazing, as if to see in person to appreciate.
Features in the Media 2.0 (USB) has been improved and very useful to look at the photo / video and music files.
Swivel-convenience.
Charcoal-TOC is much thinner than the red of other models.
-The transportation and delivery has been put through Amazon.

Cons:
-The quality of sound (honestly not that bad, have a nice surround sound bar, or the matter will be discussed).
