BuZZ from Customer Shopping
An excellent set!![]()
The characteristics are essentially identical, but after realizing that the difference between the two best I’ve found after extensive shopping around, it was only $ 50, I went for a younger look to your current and lighter.
In summary, one of the main complaints in 2008 was the quality of sound. I can not directly compare the 2009 and 2008, but found 2009’s LN40B550 have perfectly adequate, if not excellent speakers, such as TVs go.
The image quality setting menus are excellent as expected.
One aspect that I found interesting is WISELINK not be able to recognize my old reliable USB Flash Drive. I tried to format the disk in different ways, unfortunately, none of the tricks worked.
Maybe the old unit is not comparable in any way but Never Let Me Down first. Anyway, I asked some other flash drives, and will try again, and then place an upgrade.
====================================
He tried four different flash drives, all work very well on computer, all four newly formatted the same way (FAT32). Two discs are read by the TV without problems, the other two are not recognized at all … Go figure … The slideshow feature is nice, very limited, but not labor.
Just for reference, a unit that does not work on this TV is Kingston Data Traveler 4GB.
Very, very happy! ![]()
Only the second night with this game and I can not come unglued him. This is a great sub-$ 1,000 range that will satisfy all but the most hardcore videophiles. This set is also very light, I slipped under the arm to move up and down the stairs. OCD is thin, almost invisible to those who do not care for the TOC last year, do not worry, you can barely see the color on this TV. The swivel for easy access to the rear of the TV and connect the cables that makes you wonder why other manufacturers have lost the ability to transform.
I had originally bought an LG, but outside of the viewing angle was terrible, but the seat itself, Sammy shines. As with all LCDs, a little ‘color to be seen outside the corner, but this game always displays an image that was acceptable.
If there is a weakness, it is the view in standard definition, as the lead normal, but it is a challenge shared by most LCD screens. SD does not seem as good as I’ve seen in some other LCDs, but the picture is more than acceptable.
DVD has shown great … Better upconverted DVD, I was impressed … Blu Ray blew my mind. The depth of color, the darkest black, the image strong … I was very pleased. I’m sure it will be too!

Updated 07/13/09 … Almost 3 months and are still happy. If I had linked to a Samsung BDP2550 BluRay is impressive. Currently using the Samsung 1080P9 upconverting DVD player and is still impressive. I have to take a distance less than 7 meters to see any difference between DVD and Blu-Ray. Also connected to the PC via an HDMI cable 18ft, and Netflix streaming using Windows Media Center to view the NCIS and Star Trek episodes that I have on my hard drive.
Still a great buy and I recommend this game to anyone interested in an LCD 1080p.

Updated 10/31/09 … Slim connected a PS3 last months and started to watch movies on Blu-ray … And ‘as if I had a TV again! I’ve never been able to see a substantial difference between DVD and BD, but after a few months only DVD, Blu-Ray on my 40B550 blows me away again! I think I just got another dress … not buy more DVDs, Blu-ray only. And with prices down on flat screens, this game is a business of $ 849.
Feature packed and very good image quality for a decent price5
I was trying to upgrade to an HDTV in any way for about three years. I was looking for and dreaming about her all the time. Samsung has always been on top of my list, and when I went out with this model, which has lots of features at a relatively reasonable price, I finally decided to take the plunge.
I have the most basic cable service you can imagine, so most of the time I’m watching SDTV (480i), aimed at 1920×1080. Considering this huge tract, it seems very good. It ‘definitely a bit’ confused, I feel as good as any 1080p TV that I saw. Similarly, my Wii is fairly widespread, if you approach it, but it looks good from my couch, especially when I left the retreat. The Wii is not trying to be a graphics power anyway.
On the other hand is my DVD player. It has component output and is capable of 480p, and the sacred cow looks awesome! After watching SDTV and Wii, I was a bit ‘worried for my DVD is also unclear, except that I have not updated for a player of upscaling, but with the gradual, holy cow, I’m not at all necessary. I was very pleased, because watching movies is what to do.
The HD images, the options are limited, but for some reason did not arrive on NBC in 1080th on my plain non-digital cable and I also tested OTA HDTV and I must say, is beautiful. So, in my limited experience, the image of HD on this TV looks fantastic.
My Dell laptop has an HDMI output (video and audio), so I decided to turn next to the HDMI connection on TV. At first it seemed a terrible and I had to make a big commotion. He does not seem right though. After consulting the manual, I discovered that computers are in fact should be connected to HDMI 1. Change to what I have found that the designation of 1-port HDMI DVI PC ‘disables the audio input, so keep that in mind. Once I hooked it up right, though, is fantastic. Videos and games look great and surf the Web with a wireless mouse and keyboard is AWESOME.
There are tons of video options and settings so you can get the TV to look perfect in any environment, inside Another great feature is that you can connect a digital camera or USB storage device for displaying images at a resolution Maximum 480th intead if you stretched all over composite video. Sounds good, but unfortunately my camera uses Canon’s PictBridge, rather than acting as a USB mass storage, so I can not do it. I tried with a USB Thumbdrive and looks great, though.
So here’s a summary for the “too long, not read” crowd:
PROS + +
+ Great for Price / Feature
Awesome Picture + HD (for me)
Great DVD + 480p image
+ Tons of video tweaking options
+ USB
+ Tons of inputs
+ Digital Audio Output
+ Mounting Rotating
%% Neutral
Photo% SDTV is just OK
-Negative –
Auto program takes FOREVER
Buttons on the front are almost invisible … and therefore practically unusable.
-No Picture-in-Picture on all
As you can see, the negatives are much smaller (except maybe for some people PIP). All in all …. Dang I love this TV!
